With the passing of Prince yesterday I was again transported
back to when I was a kid and the Righteous Brothers had a hit
called Rock and Roll Heaven. In it the guys say "If there's a
rock and roll heaven you know they have a helluva band". Rock
and Roll Heaven had Otis Redding and Jimi Hendrix. In the years
to come John Lennon and Freddy Mercury joined the gang while
Jim Morrison smokes in the corner. The Elvis of the 80's generation
released 33 albums of varied styles and acceptance. His guitar playing
even impressed  Eric Clapton. Rock and Roll Heaven got another
impressive guitarist and artist. Move over one chair Lonesome Dave
give the man a seat!

1. Jackyl - Blast Off
2. Foghat - Wide Boy
3. Foghat - I'll Be Standing By
4. Monster truck - Don't Tell Me How To Live
5. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Cry For The Bad Man
6. Sturgill Simpson - Brace For Impact
7. Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals - Call It What It Is
8. Achilles Wheel - Let It Rise
9. Black cat Bones - Sylvesters Blues
10. Kenny Wayne Shepard Band - Slow Ride
11. Busy Signal - Sports Day [Big Al All 3 Mix]

Dear Big AL,

do you remember when I had "who would play that in one set" in about nine out of ten comments? I think I'm having a Rockcast flashback. A fine example of blues storytelling by Ben Harper and later Alvin wit his friend Hempton caught in da riddim, to combine that is so cool, it should probably be illegal.

This is art! (ZZ Top - Dreadmonboogaloo)
