Dear Big AL,
Hey, You Got Me Rockin again, no wait, that one was from the competition. But I proudly must say I knew you would do that and hey I even knew when. I'm a genius! Hm, or maybe I'm not, it wasn't so hard to guess for an experienced Rockcaster. A very fine selection you created, not so easy with a band everybody knows inside out. Congrats to a job well done! Truly outstanding in sound. Hey and all five of the four Beatles on the cover! Only the name of the fith one, hm, Stuart Sutcliffe, no. Pete Best, no. The American one, yes, Terry Gilliam! Naw, different band. But I know him, on the cover he looks familiar, from the Michigan area... Aah, now I know. The beard gives it away: it's Bob Seger.
Since the story went on some suggestions from the individual artists. First up George Harrison - When We Was Fab. Self-explanatory. Then John Lennon & Ringo Starr - Subterranean Homesick Blues. For me the Dylan cover. And, of course Wings - Junior's Farm (1974, lucky coincidence). And for the fifth on the cover it's The Traveling Wilburys - She's My Baby [Big AL Mix]. There you have Boo B.D. Wilbury, Clayton J.L. Wilbury, Spike G.H. Wilbury, Muddy T.P. Wilbury and Groovy A.M. Wilbury, all five of the four again.

One of the best sets ever! Period! You again captured the moment. Maybe it's not perfect but it is pretty damn entertaining. Thanks for taking us on another journey..spanning the globe for sure.

I don't usually watch music industry-sponsored tribute shows, but found Sunday night's The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles rather enjoyable. The highlights for me were many: A reunited Eurythmics; Joe Walsh, Gary Clark, Jr. and Dave Grohl performing 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'; a backing band featuring Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton & Kenny Aronoff; Dave Grohl & Jeff Lynne letting their hair down on 'Hey Bulldog'; Joe Walsh, Jeff Lynne & Dhanni Harrison's sublime version of 'Something' (I actually shed a few tears); Dave Grohl's daughter rocking out in the audience while sitting on her daddy's lap was too awesome; and of course, Sir Paul and Ringo bringing the house down during the finale. (What's the coolest thing about Ringo Starr: The fact that he was the drummer in the Beatles or that Joe Walsh is his brother-in-law? Joe Walsh for President!!!) The only thing missing was John & George. (It would also have been nice to see Julian Lennon sitting amongst the Beatles families, but politics & ego always rear their ugly heads in these type of events.) All-in-all, a nice little tribute to the lads. As is your set. Nice work.
