The heat lingers but this summer is almost finished.
A true sign of fall approaching here is football players
in full pads fist fighting in the 100 degree heat. Like the
swallows return to Capistrano the sight of behemoths
means cooler weather ahead. American football has in
the last thirty years become the favorite American pastime
surpassing baseball which has been around for 150 years.
Understandable, faster action more characters and thugs.
Still on a hotter than hell summer afternoon nothing beats
a nice baseball game and a cool one. Even better, when it's
really miserably hot the H town team just close the roof
and play indoors. You gotta love modern technology.
